Expanding Your Horizons

Welcome to the American Association of University Women's official homepage for the Expanding Your Horizons conference.  The next conference will be held  February 21, 2009,  at Texas Woman's University in Denton.

Look for details on the website in December 2008.

Registration will begin in January 2009.  Completed registrations and fees must be received by February 9, 2009.  Registration is limited to the first 350 paid middle school girl registrants

Why a Career Conference for Girls?

Some of the most important and best-paying future careers will be in math and science--fields that are wide open for young women who are prepared. You need to take classes in math and science in middle school and high school so the doors of opportunity will be open to you later.

At this conference you will meet women successful in math- and science-related fields.  You'll discover what they do on their jobs, what education and skills are needed, and how they balance family and career.

Each workshop includes hands-on activities that are fun and help you get a "feel" for the career.
